Meet the Team

Jane Mathias, Director

Mrs. Jane Mathias is in her twenty-third year in the Guidance Department and works primarily with juniors and seniors. What she enjoys most about her work is getting to know each student and using her knowledge of colleges to help each of them find the right “fit” institution to pursue the next stage of her education. She is involved in the WNY counseling groups, and the National Association for College Admission Counseling at the state and national levels. She served in the New York State organization’s presidential cycle 2013-2016, and completed eight years on its executive board this past June. Mrs. Mathias also gets to know her students as moderator of Peer Helpers, Service, Club, Grandfriends, and Project Educate.

Colleen Robertson, Counselor

Mrs. Colleen Robertson is in her thirteenth year as a Nardin counselor and also teaches two social studies classes at the AP level. Having two daughters who have graduated from Nardin and one current student gives Mrs. Robertson the parent perspective as well as that of a teacher and staff member. In addition to working with freshmen and sophomores, and teaching juniors, Mrs. Robertson is the moderator of our Mock Trial team, and coordinates the annual senior trip.

Kristin Mansour, Freshman Counselor

Mrs. Kristin Mansour joined the Guidance team in the fall of 2016.  Having been an English teacher at Nardin for 12 years, she knew this position would be a great fit.  Having worked closely with the students in the classroom, as Senior Class Dean, and as a moderator for several clubs and activities, Kristin was passionate about working with the freshmen, their teachers, and their families.  She loves helping the freshmen feel like a part of the Nardin community and making sure their foundation is strong and secure.
