A Nardin Academy Montessori teacher is dedicated to the mission of the Academy, committed to the study of Montessori pedagogy, motivated to work collaboratively, and committed to self-reflective practice and professional development.
 
Nardin Academy is seeking a Montessori dedicated and credentialed Part-Time Lead Toddler teacher, who guides a classroom of children aged 18 months to 3 years. The teacher is a collaborative, mission-aligned educator with a passion for early childhood development, Montessori pedagogy, and inclusive, child-centered teaching.  This position is a key member of the Montessori teaching team.  The Lead teacher will design and deliver a developmentally responsive Montessori curriculum while creating a nurturing and purposeful learning environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a prepared Montessori toddler environment that fosters independence, concentration, coordination, and a sense of order.
  • Guide the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development of each child through individualized observation, lesson planning, and documentation.
  • Implement Montessori philosophy and curriculum with integrity and fidelity to AMS standards.
  • Design and rotate classroom materials and activities that reflect children's emerging interests and developmental stages.
  • Maintain accurate and ongoing records of student progress and growth.
  • Foster a strong, respectful partnership with parents, including regular communication, parent-teacher conferences, and support of developmental milestones.
  • Collaborate effectively with co-teachers, support staff, and school leadership to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
  • Participate in school-wide events, professional development opportunities, and contribute to the life of the Nardin community.
  • Uphold professional standards of conduct including punctuality, communication, discretion, and attire.
  • Support the mission and values of Nardin Academy in all interactions and responsibilities.

Qualifications
  • AMS or AMI Montessori Credential in Infant/Toddler (0–3) required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field required.
  • At least two years of lead teaching experience in a Montessori toddler environment preferred.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
Working Conditions
The work environment is a Montessori classroom setting. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate, but occasionally high depending upon student population and activities. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions and/or outdoor weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to bloodborne pathogens.
 
Work Schedule
 
Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
 
Physical Requirements
 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision.
 
Wage
 
$ 24,120 to $ 28,140 annually at 67% FTE of a 37.5 hours per week schedule
