In Montessori classrooms, the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd invites students into reflection and discovery, helping them begin to understand their relationship with God and how they are called to treat others with care and empathy.

Montessori: Our early learners begin with simple acts of service that build empathy and awareness of others, such as participating in initiatives like the Angel Wishlist, which supports local families in need.
Lower School: Students continue to grow in their understanding of service through community-wide efforts like the All Academy Food Drive, learning the importance of generosity and working together for a shared purpose.
Middle School: Service becomes more personal and reflective, often integrated into retreat experiences where students begin to connect their actions to a deeper sense of responsibility and community.
High School: Students take on a more active role in service, completing graduation requirements and participating in outreach initiatives, donation drives, and service-focused events that connect them directly to the needs of others.

Leading | Stepping Forward with Confidence

Because students at Nardin are consistently learning and living out their faith, leadership begins to form through their spiritual lives. Students are regularly invited to display their faith in meaningful ways through daily prayer, Mass, and time set aside for reflection. They begin to take ownership of that foundation, not only personally, but in how they support and guide others.

That spiritual growth becomes especially visible through Nardin’s retreats and Campus Ministry. In Middle School, students begin exploring what it means to lead with intention, while in High School, students take on active roles by participating in planning retreats, guiding small group discussions, and sharing their own journeys with younger students. They also serve in liturgies as readers, altar servers, and leaders of prayer, with groups such as the Mass Production Club helping organize school-wide Masses.
