High School

Welcome to Nardin Academy High School, the oldest all-girl private, Catholic high school in WNY.

Nestled in the heart of the Elmwood Village, Nardin Academy has been nurturing confident, college-ready young women for the past 160 years as Buffalo’s oldest all-girls’ Catholic high school. The commitment to academic excellence, service, and faith continues to be the foundation for all that we do.

In the tradition of the Daughters of the Heart of Mary, our girls commit to serving others with humility and compassion in their local, national, and global communities. Our girls can be found serving in the heart of Buffalo during the school year as well as in the summer months in the Appalachian Region, Cincinnati (with Franciscans for the Poor) and in Granada, Nicaragua.

From the stage to the athletic field, our girls learn to lead with confidence. Nardin provides opportunities for girls to compete in local choral, orchestra, band, and theatrical competitions in addition to providing robust fine arts course offerings in clay works, photography, and interior design. Our athletics department has the unique opportunity for girls to learn and compete in squash and crew, with our new Athletics Center and West Side Rowing Club close by. Our all-girls engineering course and media maker space also allow for hands-on exploration in STEAM related fields.

All leadership positions in over 30 clubs are held by girls, and students are encouraged to propose new clubs to explore their passions. From our new International Dining Club to our Business Entrepreneurial club, girls have the opportunity to get involved outside the classroom during the school day. This year, our girls will also be traveling to Chicago for a Model UN competition, to Disney World as a senior class, and to Italy during February break as part of our international travel program.

Nardin’s dedicated faculty is committed to creating authentic meaningful learning experiences that promote creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking. With our curriculum not being dictated by the Regents exam, our classes are focused on 21st Century skills that prepare our graduates for college and beyond.
