Welcome to Nardin Academy High School, the oldest all-girl private, Catholic high school in WNY.
Situated in the city of Buffalo, we draw young women from all over the Western New York area providing a diverse student population which leads to a robust student body. It was my privilege to serve as principal of Nardin for the past twenty-five years and what an invigorating experience it was!
Known for our academic excellence (ranked one or two the past fourteen years in Business First), we offer and provide so many additional experiences for our students. Competitive athletics with sports as disparate as crew, squash, soccer, tennis, and more are offered, with more than two-thirds of the school playing on a Nardin team. More than thirty clubs exist to meet the interests of the students and expose them to areas they might find as a passion for future careers. Additionally, a hallmark of Nardin is our participation in service work in the tradition of our founders, the Daughters of the Heart of Mary. Students have opportunities to help out at local centers during the school year, and each summer we have our “Nardin Serves the World” opportunities with week-long service trips in Buffalo, the Appalachian Region, Cincinnati (with Franciscans for the Poor) and in Granada, Nicaragua helping out the poorest of the poor.
Our girls embrace all aspects of their educational experience, and we are here to support them enthusiastically. At graduation, I see confident, respectful, caring, and successful young women ready to lead and make a difference in the world and continue their life-long learning.
Our website will give you a look into life at Nardin, but please make plans to come and visit in person where you will be able to experience this dynamic community. I look forward to seeing you here soon!
