Volunteer Opportunities

Characteristics/Duties:

• Motivated to assist in providing the best opportunities for ALL students throughout Nardin Academy.

• Come together as a team with the other committee members to ensure the success of the Fortune Gala
• Assist with the décor piece of the night-there is a budget to work with
• Be thrifty, while still making it look classy! 
• Be mindful that we will hope that the decorations can be used year-after-year
• Attend all full committee Fortune planning meetings (in-person & virtual options available)
• Promote the event to the Nardin community & beyond

  • Brainstorm potential Silent Auction packages
  • Help create registries on Target, Amazon, Pottery Barn, Macy’s
• Record Silent Auction items on shared spreadsheet
• Attend gift gathering events (2-3 during January-February)
• Attend all full committee Fortune planning meetings (in-person & virtual options available)
• Provide update on Silent Auction at full committee meetings 
• Promote the event to the Nardin community & beyond
• HAVE FUN!

• Assist with attaining sponsors & ads for the Fortune Gala
• Record outreach & information on shared spreadsheet. If someone else has already contacted a company, please work with that person (if their contact doesn’t respond, you can reach out to your contact). Communication is KEY on this committee-we do not want to be asking the same companies for sponsorship more than once.
• Attend gift gathering events (2-3 during January-February)
• Attend all full committee Fortune planning meetings (in-person & virtual options available)
• Promote the event to the Nardin community & beyond
• Attend the Fortune Gala
• HAVE FUN!!

• Assist with attaining volunteers for the night of the Fortune Gala
• Record Volunteers on the shared spreadsheet (will need name, email, phone number)
• Attend gift gathering events (2-3 during January-February)
• Attend all full committee Fortune planning meetings (in-person & virtual options available)
• Work with event manager to develop a schedule for volunteers & assess needs of the event
• Promote the event to the Nardin community & beyond

Characteristics of Challenge Day Ambassadors:

• Eager to support all Nardin students and programs by increasing gifts to the Nardin Fund
• Connected to a group they will be representing. Examples are current Nardin parents, donors to a named fund, reunion class alum, alum
• Demonstrates enthusiasm for Nardin
• Willingness to update social media throughout the day
• Willingness to make personal contacts prior to and on Challenge Day

Duties of challenge Day Ambassadors:

• Make a gift to Challenge Day and share via social media
• Update social media throughout the day with updates and other CD messaging
• Make contact with their circle before CD so we can start the day strong
• Email, call people in their group to ask them to make a gift
• During the week of Challenge Day, we will need parent volunteers to help deliver coffee and treats to Nardin Faculty & Staff
• Following the event, share totals and celebrate success with their group

• Students, alumni and current parents can serve in this role
• We would provide donor contact info, and the caller could make thank you calls or even send text messages from his or her phone. No need to come into the office

he Nardin Alumni Buffalo Chapter (NABC) gives back to Nardin in a variety of ways, including:

• Planning events such as happy hours or service projects
• Attending Nardin Academy events
• Sponsoring an event such as Golfing for Gators
• Raising funds for Challenge Day
• Making a nomination for the annual Alumnae Awards or Athletics Hall of Fame
• Connecting with current students for Winter Experience
• Submitting news for Nardin Today
