Summer Camp 2021

Montessori Camp: A Summer of Expression and Exploration

June 14 - July 23

Half Day Option: 8am - 12pm
Full Day Option: 8am - 3pm
Location: Montessori Oishei Campus, 700 West Ferry St.
For boys and girls ages 4 - entering 1st grade

Nardin Montessori's summer camp blends an appreciation for the arts and the world around us with the joys of physical exploration and creative, hands-on projects. Our program enriches the lives of our campers through guided art and craft creation and real life skills of woodworking, gardening and meal preparation. Children gain an appreciation of nature and connectedness to the earth through exploration of our two beautiful green play spaces throughout the day.

Before Care:
Before Care will be offered from 7:30am - 8am at a rate of $25 per week.

Camp Cost: Half Day Option: $200/week or Full Day Option: $350/week

Gator Days Adventure Camp

June 14 - June 25

Time: 9am - 3:30pm
Location: Main Campus, 135 Cleveland Ave.
For boys and girls entering 1st - 4th grade

Gator Days will build skills such as self-esteem, confidence to try new things, socialization and sportsmanship. Campers will find a talent, partake in a community service project and have FUN, as we maintain a safe, socially distant, mask-wearing environment, while keeping an adventurous spirit!

Your child’s adventure will begin and end at Nardin for "Morning Moving Rotations". Rotations vary and may include art, sports, computers, theatre, dance, music and games. Campers will be bussed to various adventures throughout the week led by our very own Nardin Faculty, Miss Hanna and Mr. Mazur, two of the most adventuring teachers at Nardin.  Joining the adventure supervision staff will be faculty members, Ms. Colleen Zimmerman and Mrs. Denise Seeley, and Nardin graduate and past camper, Natalie Jankowski.

Rocket League Scratch & Python Coding Camp 

June 14 - June 18

Time: 8:30am - 2:30pm
Location: Main Campus, 135 Cleveland Ave.
For boys and girls entering 5th - 8th grade

In partnership with The Coderschool.

Rocket League has taken the eSports world by storm! It’s free and easy to play across multiple platforms and we have figured out a way to teach kids to code within the Rocket League game! Yup, during this camp we’ll teach the kids to create Artificial Intelligence bots that play the game on their own, using the coding languages Scratch and Python! This is going to be an incredible and fun camp experience for the kids, we promise!  

Skills Learned: Logical Reasoning, Programming Logic; Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Basic Game Design | Soft Skills: Creativity, Collaboration, Problem Solving (Students learn from peers as much as from their teachers)

Make it Go with Robots

June 21 - June 25

Time: 8:30am - 2:30pm
Location: Main Campus, 135 Cleveland Ave.
For boys and girls entering 5th - 8th grade

In partnership with The Coderschool.

The field of robotics is growing faster than ever, appearing everywhere from our homes to video games to drones. Learn to build and program robots through hands-on projects that will culminate in a demo at the end of the week.

Skills Learned: Programming, Interacting with hardware (Robots); | Soft Skills: Team Work, Complex Problem Solving, Creative Thinking; Accepting failures overcoming them, perseverance

Please pack a lunch, snack and water bottle daily.

Summer Strength & Fitness Program

June 14 - July 16

Time: Middle School (6 - 8): 9 - 10am
            High School (9 - 12): 10:30am - 12pm
Days: Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
For boys and girls entering grades 6 through 12

Nardin Academy's 5-week Summer Strength and Fitness program is specifically designed to help students stay active and improve their confidence and athleticism through increased speed, agility, strength, reaction, endurance, and injury prevention. Our programs will take place in a group setting and are led by our staff in a fun and supportive environment.

Camp is cancelled.

 

Experience Nardin Summer Camp

July 12 - July 16

Time: 8:30am - 3:00pm; Monday - Friday
For girls entering 6th, 7th and 8th grade

In this week-long, socially distanced experience, enjoy activities such as cooking, art, photography and technology. In the afternoon, we will play sports, participate in different team-building activities, get lunch from Elmwood Avenue and complete a service project. 

Experience Nardin is FULL.

Freshman Experience

July 19 - July 23

Time: 8:30am - 3:00pm; Monday - Friday
For Incoming Nardin HS Class of 2025

Meet fellow incoming freshmen, make new friends and learn all about Nardin during this socially distanced experience. Girls will participate in activities like art, cooking, photography and technology. Afternoons will include a combination of service projects, lip sync battles, fashion shows, games and sports. We will venture to Elmwood Avenue to get lunch and explore the area around Nardin throughout the week. 

Freshman Experience is FULL.

 

Fun Fundamentals

July 26 - July 30

Time: 9am - 12pm
Location: Main Campus, 135 Cleveland Ave.
For boys and girls entering the Kindergarten year in September 2021

Meet new friends in this Phonemes Program designed to increase reading readiness skills through dance and song. Each day includes singing, dancing, art, performances and outdoor play. Families will be invited to an outdoor special performance on the last day of camp.

Multi-Sport Summer Camp

June 28 - July 2

Time: 9am - 4pm (early drop-off available at 8:30am)
Location: Nardin Academy Athletic Center, 97 Rosalia St
For boys and girls ages 7 - 13

Our Multi-Sport camp is designed to introduce young athletes to a variety of different sports in one setting. For this program, we combine multiple sports, both traditional and non-traditional, into one fun-filled week. Athletes will learn the rules and essentials of each sport through skill-based games and scrimmages.

Camp Cost: $350

Squash Camps

June 21 - 25; June 28 - July 2; August 2 - 6 or August 9 - 13

Time: Session 1 (Middle School: 5 - 8): 9am - 12pm
          Session 2 (High School: 9 - 12): 1 - 4pm

For boys and girls entering grades 5 through 12

Middle School Camp
Nardin Academy's Middle School Squash Camp is a great opportunity to introduce your child to the sport in a fun, competitive way! The middle school camp will focus on basic racquet skills, ball control and coordination for new players. Experienced squash players are welcome, and will focus on more challenging drills to improve technique, shot selection, and court management. Daily matches and competitive drills between players will push your child to play hard and work to improve. 

High School Camp
Nardin Academy's High School Squash Camp offers intensive and fun training for junior squash players of all levels and experience. Each daily session will focus on a different aspect of the sport, and will improve your skills and knowledge of squash. Players will be divided into smaller groups based upon skill level, and each group will have drills and exercises custom tailored to their ability and experience. The high school camp will also include daily strength training, conditioning and cardio.
