Merit Scholarships

Nardin Academy offers academic scholarships to qualified incoming 9th grade students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and potential. In awarding academic scholarships, the Admissions Committee considers the students entrance and scholarship examination results. Percents shown are based on the national percentile. Financial need is not a factor in determining scholarship eligibility. A student's scholarship award is renewed automatically each school year, provided her school-work consistently demonstrates an exceptional level of achievement. Opportunities include:

  • Daughters of the Heart of Mary Scholarship
    • Exam results at the 99%
    • $20,000 over 4 years; $5,000 per year
  • Ernestine Nardin, DHM
    • Exam results at the 97% - 98%
    • $18,000 over 4 years; $4,500 per year
  • Board of Trustee Scholarship
    • Exam results at the 95% - 96%
    • $16,000 over 4 years; $4,000 per year
  • President's Scholarship
    • Exam results at the 93% - 94%
    • $14,000 over 4 years; $3,500 per year
  • Principal's Scholarship 
    • Exam results at the 88% - 92%
    • $12,000 over 4 years; $3,000 per year
  • Alumnae Scholarship 
    • Highest exam result with an alum mother, grandmother or aunt relation
    • $6,000 over 4 years; $1,500 per year
    • Must complete the Alumnae Scholarship Form found in your Nardin account before December 17, 2021.

 

Other Scholarships  

  • GirlsLEAD Scholarship: A half tuition scholarship funded by Nardin Academy. This scholarship recognizes a young woman for her capacity to lead and serve, as well as her commitment to making a significant impact on our school and community.
  • Buffalo Prep Scholarship: A full tuition scholarship funded by Nardin Academy and awarded to an economically disadvantaged minority student who participates in the Buffalo Prep program.
  • The John R. Oishei Foundation Scholarship: A full tuition scholarship funded by The John R. Oishei Foundation and awarded to an economically disadvantaged minority student. More information and the application can be found here: https://www.edcowny.org/oishei-hs-scholarship.

 

Class Awards

Reflecting our commitment to maximizing student potential, Nardin Academy offers three 1-year $1000 awards to celebrate student talent and passion. Additional information and applications can be found at Nardin.org/scholars2026.

  • Art Award: Awarded to a student who excels in art. 
  • Band/Orchestra Award: Awarded to a student who excels in band or orchestra.
  • Vocal Award: Awarded to a student who excels in vocal performance.
