Class of 2026 Welcome Letter

July 7, 2022

Dear Students and Families of the Class of 2026:

Welcome! We are so excited to have you as a part of our Nardin family. Please note the following important information:

Freshman schedules, along with a freshman school supply list, will be mailed out mid-late July.

By now Summer Reading Lists should have been received; I emailed the lists on 6/21/22, and they are now posted on the Nardin website: https://www.nardin.org/academics/high-school/summer-reading

In addition, at the end of June, parents were emailed information about athletics, community service, and setting up student Nardin email accounts. If you need this information, it is posted on the Nardin website at: https://www.nardin.org/admissions/high-school/registration. Students will have had access to their Nardin email accounts since July 1st, so they should be checking this regularly.

A couple of reminders:

  • Physical forms are available on the Nardin website at:  https://www.nardin.org/student-life/health-office They are due to the health office by the beginning of the school year. Please do not email physicals due to confidentiality reasons. Please mail them to:

Nardin Academy Health Office Attn:  Hannah Sorge

135 Cleveland Avenue

Buffalo, NY 14222

  • The Freshman Picnic is scheduled for Wednesday, August 24th from 5-7pm. The location is the Nardin Athletic Fields-97 Rosalia St. Buffalo, NY 14216. This event is outside, so students should wear shorts and sneakers. Class t-shirts will be handed out at the picnic, so students can just wear a tank top and put the t-shirt over that, or there is a bathroom at the facility where they can change.

Students, please use the following link to make your food choice for the picnic:  https://bit.ly/freshmanpicnic

Parents are invited to join us on the fields that evening (8/24) from 7-7:30pm for a short informational session.

  • Freshman Orientation is scheduled for Wednesday, August 31st from 8am-12pm and Thursday, September 1st from 8am-12pm. On the 31st, students should wear their Class of 2026 t-shirt they received at the picnic. This is the day to bring in school supplies since students will be assigned their lockers.

On the 1st, students can wear any white or green top. Shorts and sneakers on both days are fine. Please be advised that lunch will be served both days, and since most schools are not yet in session, bus transportation will not be provided.  Students must arrange for a ride to Nardin and home.

Chromebooks and school planners will be distributed to students during these orientation days.

  • First day of school for all students is Tuesday, September 6th.
  • The school calendar is on the Nardin website: https://www.nardin.org/school-calendar
  • For information on the school uniform, please visit the link on our website at: https://www.nardin.org/student-life/dress-code
  • Skirts, pants, and polos must be ordered from Land’s End.
  • Please accept calls/texts/invitations from your Crew Leader who is excited to meet you!

I hope you enjoy a much deserved glorious summer!
