TARC Team Arrives in Washington, D.C.

On Friday, May 11, the Nardin Academy TARC teams had the honor of attending Rockets on the Hill, a breakfast reception on Capitol Hill before the Team America Rocketry Competition Final Fly-off.

This event showcases the importance of STEM education for lawmakers and their staffs. Students had the opportunity to meet with representatives and senators including Erin Meegan from Congressman Brian Higgins office (pictured below).

The two Nardin Academy TARC teams are in Washington, D.C. as part of 100 finalists in the Team America Rocketry Challenge National Finals, outscoring more than 700 teams from across the country in order to receive this honor.

TARC, the world's largest student rocketry contest, is sponsored by the Aerospace Industries Association, the National Association of Rocketry and more than 20 industry partners.

We wish our talented and dedicated students all the best this weekend at the national finals!
