Nardin Student Celebrates Success at Albright-Knox

Nardin student Catherine Colpoys '17, a student in the competitive AK Teens: Future Curators program at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, celebrated a successful Exposition exhibition opening at Albright-Knox Art Gallery last week.

This annual program is designed to expose students to the museum field. Future Curators meet every Thursday evening to collaborate and learn how an art museum functions.

Students in the program then organize an exhibition of artwork submitted by local high school students in Western New York and Ontario, Canada. They are involved in all levels of planning from selecting the work, designing the layout, and writing wall text, labels, and press release. The exhibition opening reception at Albright-Knox, also planned by the Future Curators, offered an opportunity for curators, student artists, family, friends, and teachers to celebrate.

There will be a separate celebration held at the Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology on April 27th 5- 6:30pm, all are welcome to attend.

The Exposition exhibition will be on display until May 14th.

Congratulations Catherine on a wonderful opening!
