English Classes Prepare Dickens/Alcott Theme Menu
English Classes Prepare Dickens/Alcott Theme Menu

To support and celebrate the readings of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol and Louisa May Alcott's Little Women members of English 9 and English 11 classes prepared a Dickens/Little Women feast for lunch on Tuesday, December 18 with the help of Chef Julie and her talented team.

Students researched, updated, converted, and prepared recipes for the special day. On the menu: brown sugared ham, warm apple sauce, brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, chocolate molasses cookies, and golden wassail.

The timing of the lunch was also significant. December 19 marks the 175th anniversary of the publication of the Dickens beloved classic, and 2019 celebrates the 150th of the publication of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women.

Thank you to our students for bringing such cheer and merriment to campus!
