Presleigh Brunner '22 Receives The Heart of Nardin Award

Natalie Lewis '07, was a vibrant part of the Nardin community as a student, an athlete and as an alumna. After Natalie tragically lost her life in 2014, The Heart of Nardin Award was established by the Lewis Family in Natalie's memory, recognizing a student athlete who possesses Natalie's characteristics: hardworking, humble and, most importantly, kind to everyone. This award reminds us of the light and spirit that Natalie extended to everyone she met.

The Nardin community is honored to share that Presleigh Brunner ’22 is the 2021 recipient of The Heart of Nardin Award. Presleigh is a Varsity athlete who plays both basketball and softball. She is an honor student and a member of the Red Cross Club. In her free time, she works in her family’s restaurant.

At a Mass held virtually (click here to watch) and shared with the Nardin High School community on Thursday, February 11, 2021, Natalie’s sister Caroline ’10 remembered her sister as someone who saw the good in everybody. Caroline reminded us that we all should work to see each other the way that God wants us to be seen: for each person’s imagination, unique stories and to celebrate what sets each of us apart.

Like Natalie, Presleigh is always smiling, is kind and willing to help anyone in need. We are honored to celebrate Natalie’s legacy, who continues to be a guiding light in the Nardin community.
