President's Desk - January 2022

As a Catholic school, founded by the Daughters of the Heart of Mary, it is crucial as a community that we lift up the importance and distinction of our Catholic Identity. As such, and in partnership with Catholic schools throughout the Nation, Nardin Academy will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week from January 30 - February 3.

By embracing and celebrating our Catholic identity in this way, we are focused on our values of striving to live and serve our world with dignity, humbleness and compassion. We are truly excited to join with schools across the country in a celebration of faith, excellence, and service.

Part of the focus during this week of celebration affords Nardin the opportunity to reflect on our growth as a Catholic institution, while also committing to deeper connections and service throughout our greater Buffalo community. Education excellence remains the hallmark of our institution, as such, Nardin Academy will continue to intentionally direct our efforts to the transformational growth of the whole person which includes the development of mind, body, and spirit. Service is both fundamental to our Catholic faith and is at the core of Nardin's mission. Service is intended to help form people who are not only witnesses to Catholic social teaching, but also active participants through social learning.

As we get closer to Catholic Schools Week, we will be sharing with our community a new and exciting partnership with Oishei Children's Hospital rooted in our mission and service to others. We are so grateful for this new partnership, and to share with you how Nardin will be able to support such a worthy organization here in Buffalo, NY.

Be well & God bless,
Dr. Sandra Betters
