Early Childhood Program Special Events
 
At various times throughout the year we host special events, such as the following:

Fall Family Picnic
Nardin Montessori families and faculty gather in September for the annual pot luck picnic. Mmmm....the dishes range from traditional family recipes such as potato salad to extravagant ethnic favorites. A great way to kick off another great year!

Parent Breakfasts/ Parents Day
Twice yearly Montessori parents start their day with coffee, bagels, and the chance to 'work' with their children in their classrooms during Parent Breakfasts.

To kick off the start of Spring Break, parents are invited into their children’s classroom to share in what they have been learning all year. An Easter egg hunt and a visit from the Easter bunny promise a fun time for all during our annual Parents Day.

Thanksgiving Feast
Every child in every classroom has a share in preparing the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. From potato peeling to measuring the flour for pumpkin bread, we all participate. After a prayer of thanks- we feast!

End of Year Activities:

Moving Up Day:  Nardin Montessori acknowledges the graduating kindergarten children with songs and a cookout for families and faculty. Tears and joy ensue as we say goodbye and hello to our upcoming first graders.

Fun in The Sun Day: A fun-filled day of carnival like games.
