The Buffalo News has awarded five Nardin Academy students in the 23rd Annual Editorial Cartoon Contest. Known as a way for students to take an original idea or opinion and convey it in art form, rather than an art competition, this contest helps students in grades 5 - 12 recognize the power of political cartoons and understand the use of satire, caricature, and irony.
This year The Buffalo News received over 600 entries, of which 20 students were awarded. Contest winning cartoons can be viewed at: http://galleries.buffalonews.com/default.aspx?id=8...
