Cross Country Closes Out Undefeated League Season with All-Catholic Championship

After completing back to back undefeated league seasons and finishing 7-0 this year, Nardin Cross Country closed out it's league season by winning both the JV and Varsity titles at the All-Catholic Championships this past weekend at Knox Farms.

With five Gators finishing in the top 12, the varsity squad was paced by Ella Dileo (4th place). Finishing 8th-11th were Grace VanVessem, Rachel Martin, Maggie Cryan and Kaitlyn Vogel. Rounding out the varsity scorers were Abby Graber in 14th and Liz Galbo in 20th.

The JV team had a 1-2 finish by Hannah Rashad and Alyssa Anderson. Mia Sidor and Anne Attea took 5th & 6th with Ainsley Boras finished in 8th.

Throughout the season top performers have been sophomore Ella Dileo, junior Grace VanVessem, sophomores Rachel Martin and Maggie Cryan and freshman Kaitlyn Vogel. Senior Liz Galbo and junior Abby Graber both have factored in the scoring at various points throughout the season.

The varsity team earned a berth at the NYS Federation Championships which will be held Nov. 18 at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls, NY.
